This is where I sell my custom hawking bags!
These hawking bags are 100% customizable. If you have a design in mind, I love that! If not, I can help you design one that fits your needs. My standard material is duck canvas because it is sturdy, lightweight, washable, and comes in a variety of colors. However, I can use other materials if you have something specific that you want. Unfortunately, I do not have the skill set to work with leather.
Cost varies depending on design. The cost for your hawking bag will be worked out based on the price of materials and how long I spend working on it. Duck canvas is $10 per yard. The average hawking bag will take two yards of fabric, and micro hawking bags generally take a single yard. The general accessories (magnetic or snap closures, zippers, grommets, D Rings, strap slides, etc.) will cost $15. And my work fee usually comes out to about $30 - $45, based on how many hours I work on it (usually between 10 and 15 hours). My work fee will not exceed $60 even on the most complex hawking bags.
The average hawking bag will cost $75 plus shipping. The average micro hawking bag will cost $55 plus shipping. But, of course, prices will vary with design.
I also do repairs on my hawking bags for free if you pay shipping. This excludes reconstruction. If a portion of the bag is in need of reconstruction (meaning it's damaged to the point that I cannot patch it, but must remove the damaged portion and sew a new piece to replace it) we will work out a fair price depending on the severity of the damage.
Pictured below is my latest hawking bag. It is a belt style micro hawking bag. This bag features two 8x8x3 inch side bags, in inner vented compartment for carrying live game like sparrows and starlings, small envelope pockets for carrying licenses into the field, and a D ring on each side bag. All flaps on this one are secured with snap clips with the exception of three hook-and-eye closures on the belt clip. I can also do a standard belt buckle or a D style belt buckle. Again, if you have something in mind, I am open to your ideas! A bag like the one pictured would cost $55 plus shipping.
These bags are made by the order, meaning I don't keep an inventory on hand. This means that you will have to wait for a week at least before I can get them in the mail. I will give you an estimate of how long it will take me to get your bag in the mail, but be sure to order your's at least a few weeks before you will need it.
